went to westmall for dinner today.
there's a shelter linking the interchange to the mrt station. if any of u had been there recently, you should have notice a grandma of abt 80+ selling tissue along the pavement. she would hawk her wares loudly to the passerby, she looked rather pitiful sitting on a small stool, seemed like she had been through a lot hardships. she's almost transparent to throngs of people streaming through the shelter.
what will you do?
buy a tissue packet from her?
buy x amt of packets from her?
or just give her x amt of $?
i know of frens who will buy without a 2nd thought, some even give extra $ but will only take a packet as a token.
where's her children? grandchildren? does she really need the $? or is she passing time?
i walked past her, give her a 2nd look and...
continued on my way and there's this peculiar feeling which started to overwhelm me...
Are you vicariously living through me in the hope that my accomplishments will validate your mediocre life and in some way compensate for all of the opportnunities you botched?
