about 2 days ago, ntu and nus announced the new poly students' intake and blah blah blah. when i first heard about it, my initial reaction was: what took you guys so long?
had a couple of frens who went overseas to study, some would love to study in local uni if given a chance. it's easier on their parents' pocket. some would, of course, prefer to study overseas for exposure which mean the recent announcement would not affect them. had a fren whose results is much better than mine but he failed to get in. i dont know how the selection went about but something is seriously wrong. after 3 years of trying, he flew over to australia. the last time i caught up with him, he'd found himself a gf over in australia :) he should be back by the end of the year and i expect nothing less than a 2nd upper from him. oh, think he's studying at NSW...
my heart ached when i heard that in the future, students with relevant experience could skip attachment. aiyah, why couldn't they implement it earlier? i'm not young anymore, being able to graduate earlier means my mum could retire earlier... it's such a shame to be getting an allowance at 25 and there's one more year to go.
my ntu tutor is coming down on mon and my supervisor is asking me to see her tomorrow at 10am. gosh, i wonder if she's going to talk about my stint so far? i'd been taking too much time on a particular work task, wonder if i'm going to be reprimanded tomorrow...on my work performance, my work attitude etc etc.
arghh!!!!!!!
Are you vicariously living through me in the hope that my accomplishments will validate your mediocre life and in some way compensate for all of the opportnunities you botched?
