stupid comp.

just "troubleshooted" the comp. either the ram or the ram slot is faulty...or so i thought. giving it a few more days to see how things turned out.

been "playing" too much during the weekend and as a result, i'm pretty tired throughout this whole week. pool, midnight movie and supper on friday's night. for saturday, early dim sum lunch with poly friends and another movie. a primary school gathering at night and an all night mahjong to top it off. slept a few hours and i'm off to ubin on sunday's morning. cycled for a few hours then hopped back to mainland. i had a quick shower at home and then i'm off for karaoke....

that's it, i'd overspent this month, really need to watch my expenditures from now on. perhaps i can catch up on my sleep this weekend? yeah, perhaps...

went to a pub in tanjong pagar last sat's night with my primary school friends. it was....erm...a pretty interesting place. first of all, it's on the fourth floor (it's near the maxwell market, just looked for the tallest shophouse there, name is Mox), pretty unusual since most pubs there are located on the 1st floor. secondly, it's a non smoking pub. wow, it's not easy to find these type of pubs nowadays. in fact, it's the first one i'd been to. third but not least, the crowd.

when we first got in, it was not that crowded (yet). i knew something was not right when i stepped into it. it just...just feel weird...there's no female patrons, or perhaps it's the lack of cigarettes smell (not that i mind since i'm not smoking). i saw 2 groups of guys sitting and chatting, saw a few pairs of guys scattered around and that's it. hmm, pretty quiet place, i said to myself.

upon closer inspection, hmm... the waiters are cute...in a boyish sense. manners wise...erm... how about the crowd? very stylish dressed, got quite a couple of guys wearing sleeveless and tight t-shirt. as the night passed by, more patrons started strolling, mostly guys. it's really an interesting place. will love to go back there again. it's good for chatting with your friends. dim lights, soft music (before 11pm) and air con was just nice. a group sat beside us and they were like "hi! nice to see you!" and then left cheek to left cheek, right to right. is there an order for this kind of greeting? like left before right? or left first for guy? or left first for lady? never tried this type of greeting before, anyone want to give me a hug to go with it?

the pub holds art events. stuffs like play or something like that. a friend had performed there once and that's how he got to know the place. think he'll be acting again this coming dec or next jan. maybe i'll go back there again, provided i can find some friends or i'll wait for my friend's performance. oh yah, there's no entrance fee, pretty nifty huh?

it's nice to experience something different once in a while. oh yeah.
