ever board a bus from an interchange?

there's this interesting ant-like phenomenon that i noticed recently. the path that people take from the Q to the bus itself depends entirely on the 1st person. if he travels from point a to point b before boarding the bus, the rest will follow the same path. if he travels from point c to point d before boarding the bus, the rest will follow also.

sometimes, i choose instead not to follow the person in front and derive my own path. the people behind me will follow the new path.

and let's not talk about the Q-jumpers, a pain in my arse. especially the elderly who think that based on their seniority, they have the right to jump Q.
