something new

went for a birthday celebration yesterday.

just 3 guys.

i can still recall the last one we had.

at bar none, had tequila, ordered a 2nd bottle but hardly touched it.

another birthday girl joined us last year. she was drunk...courtesy of yours truly and a few others.

it was good clean fun, all of us were pretty high.

i teased her about being drunk last year and how she wont be drunk this year cos she's not with us.

her reply?

"i'll be drunk too....drunk with love"

well, love has make you more witty.

anyway, about yesterday, the dear birthday boy had a really long nap and i had my dinner at around 1030pm.

after that, we went down to arab street for some smoke.

shesha, not shashe or sheesha.

[she sells shesha by the ba sha]

it was a pretty quiet street and had a rather old charm to it. there were 3 places offering shesha, 2 coffeeshops and 1 rather classy one.

we opted for the coffeeshop one (should be cheaper) but there's no empty seats. along the common corridor, we can see groups of people sitting on carpets enjoying food and shesha in the dark. it's quite interesting.

i was thinking about asking the owner for a carpet and just find one empty lot to rest our bums.

but the birthday boy was laughing like crazy...what's so funny?

in the end, we had to settle for the classy one.

if you plan to visit the place, try going to the 2nd floor. there's no chairs and one has to sit on the floor.

it's pretty laid back and with a good book in hand or great companionship, time should fly.

the lamb shank there seems yummy and all of us kinda regretted having our dinner first before heading down there.

back to the shesha, it's hard to suck and i cant seem to taste anything.

we ordered mint, mixed fruit and rose but i tasted air only.

i should be going back for the food, as for shesha, not really that keen.

it was a totally bad experience.
