i went to a new pub last week.
insomnia at chijmes.
quite a nice place with a band.
compared to the one at bar none, the one at insomnia is more lively.
guess you will love the place if you love rock & roll.
2 guitarist, 1 keyboard player, 1 drummer and 2 vocalists.
all guys except for one of the vocalists.
among the guys, two of them wear platform shoes.
low self esteem?

yesterday, i went to the same place again after going to bar none earlier.
bar none was too crowded and we made a switch to insomnia.
this time, 5 of my friend's caucasian colleagues joined in.
one of them got into trouble.
he smacked one of the passing ladies' backside.
the lady is a caucasian too, with a local chinese partner.
both guys sported tatoos, challenged each other to a fight, got kicked out by the bouncer to settle things outside.
interesting night.
...
crowd at insomnia is mostly expats.
i'll still prefer the crowds at bar none.
aircon at insomnia is almost non existing, it's so hot inside.
i think it's a plot to get people to buy more drinks.
Are you vicariously living through me in the hope that my accomplishments will validate your mediocre life and in some way compensate for all of the opportnunities you botched?

hmm.. so how did it got settled outside?
ya, things got settled and luckily, without a fight. my friend acted as a mediator. after all ,his colleagues are guests here and he felt obliged to get him out of the fix. my friend kept saying to his colleague, "IDIOT, what the fuck are you trying to do?"
the things one do when one get drunk can be pretty interesting...
