preparations are being done for the convocation.
an email had been sent but for some reasons, i did not receive it.
after attending my sister's convocation, i think it's a boring event and hence i'm not keen on going.
it will be similar to my poly one, i think.
differences are: i'll be wearing the fancy gown,
i'm not botak
and i do not need to rush back to camp while my friends go and celebrate...
similarities are: boring speech if lucky. noticed the missing 'es' ?
a long wait for your name to be called.
do a catwalk, handshake, get certificate (or an empty container in this case), thank the giver, bow, catwalk again.
and a long wait again.
...
i'd asked friends if they will be going.
guess most will.
main reason: to please parents.
that sounds very familiar.
from married friends who held wedding dinner.
guess it's the least we can do for them.
...
the ugly gowns can be rented or bought.
and i heard from a friend that when one go to collect the gown from the studio.
the assistant, a female, will try to entice you to sign up for a family photo package...
while showing her cleavage.
think i will go after all.
(it's to please my mum)
Are you vicariously living through me in the hope that my accomplishments will validate your mediocre life and in some way compensate for all of the opportnunities you botched?
