i finally got to engage in a conversation with my VP today. on my first day, when the admin lady was showing me around, she brought me into his room to introduce me.
he waved his hand and shooed me away.
it was a such lasting impression.
he did have a valid reason though, he was having a video conferencing call.
displayed a sign on the door lah!
...
he was seated the last time i saw him hence the great shock i'd received today.
we were having a company sponsered lunch for employees who were outsourced to a particular organisation, a manager and him attended it.
he has such an unsightly gait. did he have polio in his younger days? did he have an accident?
anyway, i'm glad.
glad that my company does not discriminate him.
...
most of the time, it's awkward to eat with your superiors.
guess they themselves also knew about it.
people who are normally talkative become quiet.
people who are normally quiet become even quieter.
as for me, i just kept eating so that i dont have to make small talk.
it's bad manners to talk with your mouth full.
as for the food, nothing to shout about.
Are you vicariously living through me in the hope that my accomplishments will validate your mediocre life and in some way compensate for all of the opportnunities you botched?
