it was supposed to be an opening event but when my friends and i went there...
it was deserted.
i was thinking inside: you call this a pub opening?
...
it was named indigo and it was being managed by a friend of a friend.
not close to him but still tagged along.
after all, yet to experience a pub opening.
i think it was beside sahara at boat quey and you need to climb up a flight of stairs.

...
while my friend went to look for his friend to talk, another friend and i went up another storey.
oh good, pool table and it's free because the window pane was not attached and we could take the balls out as we wished.
ordered a long island tea and it tasted only of "long island", no "tea".
plus the fact i did not have my dinner...*sigh*
...
got to know a columbia caucasian there.
he whined about how he had lost his life saving back in his country to a friend.
he came here with just his belonging in a haversack and $50.
no money back there and he might as well accept the invitation for a student exchange programme in ntu.
he talked about how locals are so trusting and honest.
about laptops and wallets lying around unattended.
about how he would go to canteen and took drinks without paying and no one bats an eyelid.
although he's no longer studying, he's still staying in one of the hostel. courtesy of his friend.
he's a pretty laidback guy, a slacker.
someone good to have while you are relaxing and chatting over a jug of beer...provided you are paying.
...
officially, the pub will only be opened in jan.
it can not catch the christmas and new year crowd because it has yet to get the necessary license.
as of now, it is only allowed to sell alcohol till midnight and it's entertainment license is till 1am.
...
a saleslady selling moosehead, a canadian beer, came close to 1am.
an eurasian with local slang.
i know some malay, chinese and all the hokkien expletives.
pretty tall, gorgeous and friendly.
she mentioned she will be holding her birthday (just a few days ago) party here and invited us along.
she would be bringing 25 cartons of moosehead.
so booze is free.
and there will be many other gorgeous ladies as well.
it was so tempting to accept the invitation...
