lately, a few of my classmates were in a writing mode. the stuffs they wrote, just nice for blog entries. in short, they were lamenting the school's system of doing things, especially with regard to our FYP selection. a couple sent emails up and got some replies which were far from satisfactory and were typically bureaucratic.
i'm pretty sure we are not the only ones who feel that way. in fact, i doubt we are the first either. has the system changed? was it better than, said a few batches ago? i admire those who sent the emails out to seek for an answer, to make the system more transparent. whether the efforts had yield any result is not important now, the spirit shown is commendable. many students will just take it and live with the undesirable outcome.
this lead me on another path of thinking. what is the profile of those attempting to change the system? confident? outspoken? i dont know about the former two attributes but they sure have excellent results. if i were to make some noise, i wonder if it will be loud enough...
this weekend will be burnt. stupid company had to throw me a project a month before i leave. catering for user testing, that leave me about 3 weeks to finish it. well, guess i have to finish up the project by this coming wednesday. let the users test the application and feedback their comments to me. after which i have to make some modifications and the whole cycle starts all over again...
hmm...i think it's me. they think too highly of me. i'm not smart enough to code the application in a shorter time. i'm not stupid, just not smart enough...
erhmm...on second thought, i think i'm just not equipped with the right skills and knowledge.... what's the purpose of a degree?
useless in most scenarios.
Are you vicariously living through me in the hope that my accomplishments will validate your mediocre life and in some way compensate for all of the opportnunities you botched?
