my sis has this primary one student who is rather disruptive in class.
in the midst of a lesson, he would sometime stand up, pick up a broom and start sweeping the floor.
or swinging the broom around.
rewind to 10 years back, this boy will be labelled as naughty or something to that effect.
today, we labelled him as being hyperactive.
recently, my sis found a way to teach the class in peace, without his antics distracting his fellow classmates.
"john, will you please go to the staff room and fetch my water bottle? i'm thirsty. thank you."
being tasked with such an "important" request, he would happily run his errand.
meantime, my sis would furiously try to impart the main points to the class...before he came back.
when he came back, the class would already being doing their assignment and he'll have a personal coaching from my sis.
rather ingenious huh?
problem is...one girl remarked to my sis, "miss mak, if i swing the broom around in class, will you send me to fetch your water bottle too?"
that girl is an attention seeker and slightly hyperactive too.
my sis told me, "well, i suppose i cant send both of them to fetch my bottle...".
Are you vicariously living through me in the hope that my accomplishments will validate your mediocre life and in some way compensate for all of the opportnunities you botched?
