chinese weddings

sooner or later, watching a movie will be akin to attending a chinese wedding.

it never starts on time and is ridiculously late.

for GV at least.
...
some of my friends will be making across the causeway for a wedding.

i know the bridegroom but in cases like this, i'm glad we aint that close.

one less pink bomb received.

one dilemma for my friends though.

hongbao in ringgit or dollar?

there's another dilemma.

let's said you usually give $100 for a local wedding. once you crossed the causeway, do you give the local equivalent of $100?

or just RM$100?
...
usually, friends give enough to cover a table's cost.

a friend who's married is pondering on how much to give.

wedding dinners surely dont cost a bomb across the causeway like they do here...i think.

"he gave me $x for my wedding..." and blah blah blah.

the following is my comment:

chinese weddings are like chinese funerals.

one tend to give back what she/he received previously.
