monotonous

life after exams has been rather monotonous...not that i mind.

i had a dinner gathering with my uni friends last night in the restaurant teahouse at china square. it's an ala carte buffet meal. btw, is the term "ala carte buffet" an oxymoron or what?

food was ok and the price was reasonable. total bill came up to $33.40 pax.

there are 2 options, a $26++ and a $29++. difference lies in the way your shark fin soup is cooked. for those who are wondering how the bill came up to $33++, one has to pay for the drinks which are free flow. i wonder which is more expensive, the chrysanthemums and dont know what combo drink i had or the chinese tea which the next table was having...

and it's nice to have someone periodically clearing your eating plate and issuing a new one. this makes eating there such a pleasure. oh, save some room for the desserts.

however the after dinner event or the lack of it was such a letdown.

i could use a nightcap.
