social night

work is piling up.

not that i mind.

as long as it's not programming.

not wanting to do programming is the reason why i'd spent about 4 months plus looking for a job.

i can run...but i cant hide.

last saturday, i went to one of those attitude's social night.

an event where students get to practice their moves and graduating students get to perform.

for once, more ladies than guys.

it was held at zenden which is located inside gallery hotel.

i absolutely love the decor.

theme is black and white.

modern and zen.

from the name, of course must be zen lah.

seems like they serve food too.

one thing for sure, it seems like a great place to chill out.

from what i'd read, salsa and exotic dancing seems to be the staple of the dance studio.

first, there was an exotic dance workshop.

exotic dancing is actually erotic dancing.

i guess it's the media rules here, you can advertised exotic dancing but not erotic dancing.

a friend said: hey, the movement is similar to the striptease dance i had seen in australia.

an instructor named fi carried out the workshop.

she got some ladies out, prepared a few chairs and then asked the crowd for some 'laps'.

some rules on being a good lap:

1) hands strictly by the sides
2) no touching

oh, try not to wear too loose fitting bottoms, especially boxers.

dance was sensual for sure and the photo displayed on the website does not do her justice.

salsa dancing was nice especially the group one, the name of the dance is quite a mouthful.

Salsa Casino Rueda is a form of salsa dance. In short, the dance is called Rueda. Rueda means wheel or circle so Rueda translates to salsa dancing done by a group in a circle, with partners being passed around in response to a caller's commands. What makes Rueda a unique and joyful spectacle is how the "followers" are able to dance in a synchronous manner, to a series of moves called by the "leader", sometimes in quick succession, all done to the lively, up-beat salsa music.
